Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines" was the best selling single in the UK
last year.
According to chart data released Wednesday, Thicke's breakthrough single
tops The Official Charts Company's Top 40 Biggest Singles of 2013
tally.
"Robin Thicke’s Blurred Lines FT TI and Pharrell Williams was the
biggest selling single of 2013, clocking up sales of more than 1.47
million copies since it debuted at Number 1 on the Official Singles
Chart back in June. It spent five non-consecutive weeks at the top spot,
and is also the longest running Number 1 of 2013," The OCC reports.
Katy Perry's "Roar" (no. 6); Justin Timberlake's "Mirrors" (no.10), and
Rihanna's "Stay" (no. 22) also made the top 40 list.
As previously reported, Thicke also topped lists in the U.S., including
the R&B Digital Songs end of year, 2013, chart.
